Info for Visitors of Unity Hospital
Doors to the main Hospital entrance are locked at 8 p.m. Anyone who needs to enter the Hospital after that time must use the Emergency Center entrance.

Hospital Visiting Guidelines
Remember that most patients tire easily. Extended visits and too many visitors at one time can wear them out. Please use your discretion. Children must be supervised by an adult to visit patients.
- Medical/Surgical Floors
Visiting hours on the medical and surgical patient floors are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Andrew J. Kirch Intensive Care Unit (I.C.U.)
Only immediate family members are allowed to visit patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Two visitors at a time may see I.C.U. patients between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Children under 14 are not allowed in the I.C.U.
August Family Birth Place
Visiting hours are 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Dads, coaches, grandparents, and siblings may visit any time. No children (other than siblings) under the age of 14 may visit to prevent infection of newborns.
Family Contact
Please designate one member of your family or a friend to be our primary contact. We will only share information about your case with other people when you give us permission. We encourage your family and friends to take notes when talking with doctors and nurses. Writing things down helps when information needs to be communicated to other family members.
Park Place Gift Shop
Located on the first floor, the Park Place Gift Shop is open daily and features magazines, fresh cut flowers, snacks, cards, and gift items. It is operated by the Park Ridge Auxiliary. Park Place Gift Shop can help you find a unique gift for that special patient. You can order online or by phone M-F until 4 p.m. and our volunteers will deliver to the patient's room free of charge.
Parking
Free parking is available for visitors in the designated parking lots at all entrances to the Hospital.
Bus Service
The Regional Transit Service bus stop is located outside the main entrance of the Hospital. Schedules are available at the Information Desk in the main lobby.
Cafeteria
The Hospital's cafeteria, located on the second floor near the main stairway, is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Visitors are welcome. Food and beverage vending machines, located next to the cafeteria entrance, are accessible 24 hours a day.
Free Wireless Internet Access
Unity is proud to provide our patients, families, and visitors with another convenient service – free wireless Internet service! Unity Wi-Fi is available at Unity Hospital in the main lobby, cafeteria, Surgical Services waiting room, the Emergency Center waiting room, and will be expanding to more areas soon.
ATM Machine
An ATM machine is located in the main Hospital lobby near the Information Desk.
