We are involved in clinical trials which are studies in which people volunteer to test new drugs or procedures. Doctors use clinical trials to learn whether a new treatment works and is safe for people. These kinds of studies are needed to develop new treatments for diseases such as cancer.
Your team of experts in the Unity Health System Oncology/Hematology includes oncologists (doctors, who specialize in cancer treatments,) surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses nationally certified in oncology care, medical assistants, and secretaries.
More than just medicine
We know that our patients need more than just cancer medicine. We offer financial assistance, spiritual counseling, and nutritional therapy. Evening support groups provide an opportunity for patients to connect with and find encouragement from others who have been diagnosed with cancer.
