Unity Health System’s Hosts Fifth Annual Diabetes Symposium
Unity Health System will host its 5th Annual Diabetes Symposium: The Diabetes Effect – Unique Considerations for Vascular and Cardiac Care on Saturday, March 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Unity Hospital, 1555 Long Pond Road.
This Continuing Medical Education (CME) event will be facilitated by experts in diabetes, wound care and cardiovascular disease will be given about the relationship between diabetes and cardiovascular disease, the advancements made in wound care and the controversy over blood glucose control in different medial settings.
The symposium will include a panel of health care professionals, including international expert Dieter Mesotten, M.D., Ph.D., from Leuven, Belgium, as well as local experts James Bingham, M.D., Unity Diabetes and Endocrinology Services, John Byrne, M.D., The Vascular Group, Toufic Rizk, M.D., Medical Director, Unity Wound Care Center and Chief, Unity Vascular Surgery and Dieter Mesotten, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Medicine, Department of Intensive Care Medicine, University Hospitals Leuven, Catholic University Leuven. The panel moderator will be KK Rajamani, M.D., Chief Endocrinology, Unity Medical Group.
