Joint Replacement Experts to Hold Information Session

For the first time, four board certified orthopaedic surgeons with different areas of specialty from the Joint Replacement Center at Unity Hospital will participate in a panel, answering questions from the public.

The specialists participating in this public forum are:
• Michael Klotz, M.D.
• Mark Stenclik, M.D.
• Raymond Stefanich, M.D.
• Luke Loveys, M.D.

They will discuss the following specialty areas: hip, knee, hand/shoulder, and foot/ankle.

“We’re excited to have this opportunity to interact with the public,” said Michael Klotz, M.D., medical director of the Joint Replacement Center. “It gives us the ability to address the questions and concerns that many people have about joint problems and possible treatment options. Many people aren't sure when to consult an orthopaedic physician about problems they are having. This panel will allow them to get more information without having to make an appointment or get a referral.”

The Joint Replacement Center at Unity Hospital is the area’s leading joint replacement center, featuring the area’s largest group of orthopaedic surgeons performing joint replacement. The Center performs about 1,500 procedures a year, with a streamlined and efficient process for patients and their families.

The Joint Replacement Center’s Panel of Experts session will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 6:30 - 8 p.m., at the Double Tree Hotel, 1111 Jefferson Road. The seminar is free and refreshments will be served.

To register, call 368-3000 or visit www.unityhealth.org/jointseminar
