Unity Health System Kicks Off "Green Team" Initiative
WHAT: A press conference to announce Unity’s Green Team. The goal of the group is to find ways to reduce Unity’s “footprint” on the environment. In conjunction with the announcement, a Green Fair will be held, which will include demonstrations and information about Unity Health System’s “green” initiatives and an opportunity to view the environmentally friendly initiatives of our community partners.
WHY: To do our part to help protect the environment, by reducing waste and increasing recycling efforts. Last year, Unity recycled 172 tons of cardboard, paper, plastic, metal and glass, and hopes to increase that amount this year. New green initiatives being implemented by Unity will be unveiled during the press conference.
