Continuing Day Treatment Program

The Continuing Day Treatment Program provides
active treatment and rehabilitative services to individuals who
have a long-standing mental illness. Many who attend have been hospitalized
in a psychiatric setting, and are now living in the community. Although
a number of individuals attend the full-day program, each client's
schedule is determined individually.
A basic focus of the program is psychiatric rehabilitation. Emphasis
is placed on helping clients become more independent and empowering
them to make informed choices for themselves. Activities include
supportive therapy, psychoeducation, activity therapy, art therapy,
recreation services and groups focusing on various topics.
Structured activities and support help these adults develop necessary
skills for successful independent living while emphasizing their
strengths and interests. Continuing Day Treatment is a group-focused
program with individual psychotherapy. Each client is assigned a
primary therapist.
A MICA (mental illness & chemical dependency) track offers a comprehensive approach to treatment for clients
dually diagnosed. Special
services are provided for the hearing impaired.
