K.K. Rajamani, M.D.
The Unity Diabetes Center is headed by Dr. Rajamani, chief of Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine at Unity Hospital.
Jean Bauch, R.D., C.D.E., C.P.T.
Jean is the manager of the Unity Diabetes Center, supervising the staff of diabetes nurses, nutritionists, and office assistants.
Karen Gesell, R.D., C.D.E.
Karen is the program coordinator for the Unity Diabetes Education Program.
Peg Palozzi, R.N., C.D.E.
Peg is our Inpatient Clinical Diabetes educator.

K.K. Rajamani, M.D.
Leading our team
The Unity Diabetes Center is headed Dr. Rajamani, an Endocrinology specialist who is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a subspecialty in Endocrine-Diabetes-Metabolism. He received his medical degree from Christian Medical College in India, and he completed residencies at Christian Medical College and the Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital, Dr. Rajamani has been with Unity since 1994, and is also affiliated with the American Diabetes Organization.

Jean Bauch, R.D., C.D.E., C.P.T.
Managing the Center
As the manager of the Unity Diabetes Center, Jean supervises our staff of diabetes nurses, nutritionists, and office assistants. She has more than 25 years of experience in diabetes and nutrition counseling. She is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, and also serves as a diabetes consultant to a variety of organizations.

Karen Gesell, R.D., C.D.E.
Overseeing our ADA-recognized Diabetes Education Program
As the program coordinator for the Unity Diabetes Education Program, Karen has over 12 years of experience as a registered dietitian, and is a certified diabetes educator. Karen holds a BS in Physical Education/Athletic Training from Canisius College, a BS in Dietetics from Buffalo State College, and an MS in Exercise Science from the University of Buffalo.

Peg Palozzi, R.N., C.D.E.
Inpatient education is critical
Peg, our Inpatient Clinical Diabetes educator, has been a nurse for 10 years. She received her Certified Diabetes Educator certificate while working for the University of Rochester. She holds a BSN in Nursing from SUNY Brockport, and is a member of the national honor society of nursing (Sigma Theta Tau).
