To help you on the road to your recovery, our Cardiac Rehabilitation team will:
The Unity Cardiac Rehabilitation program consists of three phases:
- Assess your current (baseline) health status
- Help you manage your risk factors
- Create a custom program to address your lifestyle and exercise needs
- Carefully monitor your progress
Phase I is inpatient hospital care, including education and information for those who have had a cardiac event.
Phase II is an intensive, monitored exercise program and education for those who have had a specific heart event such as heart attack, by-pass surgery or angioplasty. While our programs are tailored to your individual needs, a typical schedule involves up to 36 sessions over as many as 18 weeks.
Phase III is a program designed for all ages. It’s specifically geared for those with heart disease who have either completed Phase II, or simply need a maintenance exercise program. We offer ongoing professional exercise guidance, blood pressure monitoring and educational classes. We also help people who need to diet and exercise to prevent a coronary event.
