The Village at Unity's Major Expansion Project

Unity Modernization and Expansion

In June of 2013, the completion of The Village at Unity's major expansion will deliver the reality of a vision over ten years in the making. Beginning in early 2003, nnity senior housing began exploring the possibility of making enhancements to what was already Rochester's premier senior living community. After analyzing upcoming trends in the senior housing industry as well as listening to feedback from current and prospective residents, the Village broke ground on an ambitious expansion project that, once complete, will revolutionize how seniors in the Rochester area enjoy their retirement years.

opened in July, 2012.

Expanded level of care options is one of the highlights of the Village Expansion. In July of 2012, The Hamlet, Unity's brand new 40-apartment Licensed Assisted Living Residence opened its doors. The Hamlet combines exceptional dining, hospitality and recreation services with a skilled staff providing around-the-clock resident care services. The Hamlet offers studio and one-bedroom apartments as well as Premium apartments for couples.

The Village at Unity will open its first ever Memory Care Community in June of 2013. This assisted living level community will provide increased support for elders diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Both the design and functionality of this new building as well as a specially trained staff will provide area seniors struggling with the challenges of dementia with a pleasant, safe environment to thrive in.

The new memory care community will feature a beautiful enclosed courtyard
where residents can enjoy open spaces within a secure setting.

The opening of memory care in June will complete the Village's full
continuum of care.
