Unity Health System Modernization and Expansion

On behalf of the entire Unity Family, we appreciate your interest and understanding as we build better care for your future

Unity has launched our largest development project yet – in an effort to provide the best possible patient care, we’re expanding services and modernizing our facilities to incorporate state-of-the-art technology. We remain the only hospital in Monroe County with all private, single rooms!

New Golisano Center is now open!
We’ve opened the second and third floors of the Golisano Center for patients in some of our Medical/Surgical units. This building is in the former Park Ridge Living Center, and accessible via the main entrance of the Hospital.

Main Hospital entrance has relocated
Due to construction, we have temporarily relocated our Main Entrance just a short distance away on the same side of the building. Visitor parking (Lot G) is located directly across from this entrance. Please view the map below for details.

Project Highlights
  • In April 2010, the Park Ridge Living Center moved to newly constructed “cottage style” homes for seniors
  • In 2011, we opened the second and third floors of the Golisano Center for patients. In early 2012, we'll open the expanded facilties for the Unity Dialysis and Unity Endoscopy Services on the first floor. The site is also the future home of the Golisano Restorative Neurology and Rehabilitation Center, which is being relocated from the Unity St. Mary’s Campus.
  • We're starting extensive rennovations in four of our units of the Hospital building - expanding and modernizing all patient rooms in these areas.
  • The expansion of the Hospital also includes the construction of a fourth floor that will accommodate additional medical/surgical beds.
  • Space and modernization enhancements will also be made to the Joint Replacement Center at Unity Hospital and Cardiology Unit.
  • The plan includes a fresh look to the facility’s exterior shell, an increased number of bigger elevators, and the renovation of the Hospital main lobby to contain: a coffee shop, concierge desk, and construction of a larger, contemporary cafeteria for staff and visitors.
  • Over 600 parking spaces will be added to the Hospital Campus. Parking for visitors, patients, and staff will continue to be free.
