Park Ridge Auxiliary Accepting Donations for its Lights of Love Celebration

Unity Health System’s Park Ridge Auxiliary is accepting donations for its popular Lights of Love celebration. Lights of Love can be purchased in honor of, or in memory of, loved ones for a donation of $8. During the holiday season, these lights decorate trees and flagpoles located on and around the Unity Hospital campus.

A ceremony that includes a “flip of the switch” is held every year to kick off the Lights of Love illumination. This year, the ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 6, at 7 p.m. at the Unity Hospital Education Center, 1555 Long Pond Rd. The celebration includes:
  • A brief gathering at the Education Center, featuring singing by St. Lawrence Choir and the displaying of the keepsake books with the names of all those honored with Lights of Love since its inception in 1988. Light refreshments will be served starting at 6:30 p.m.
  • Over 8,000 lights simultaneously turned on and around the Unity Hospital campus. The switch will be “flipped” at the Golisano Center entrance of Unity Hospital.
  • Following the lighting, St. Lawrence Church Choir will lead attendees in the singing of “Silent Night” in front of the Golidano Center at Unity Hospital.
To purchase a Light of Love, call (585) 723-7102, or visit www.unityhealth.org, click on “About Us,” then “Park Ridge Auxiliary.”
