Unity Announces Appointments, New Staff

Unity Health System is pleased to announce the following appointments and new staff members.

Barb Gray has been appointed vice president, Unity Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). In her new role, Barb will oversee program and business development as well as operations for HCBS. Barb has been with Unity for 18 years. She previously served as senior director, Unity Home Care. Barb is a registered nurse and has a BSN and a master’s degree in management from Nazareth College. Barb lives in Greece.

Unity Health System welcomes Cynthia Huether as vice president of Behavioral Health. In this role Cynthia will be responsible for the operational performance of the Behavioral Health in collaboration with Michael McGrath, M.D. Cynthia joins Unity from Rochester Rehab Center, Inc., and Rehabilitation Enterprises Inc., where she was President/CEO. Cynthia lives in Fairport.

Jane Shukitis has been appointed senior vice president for Aging & Community Services. Jane will oversee program and business development as well as operations for Unity’s aging and community services, which includes three skilled nursing homes, six adult day programs, home health care programs, and a variety of other aging and community programs. Jane joined Park Ridge Hospital as a nurse in 1981. Her most recent role was vice president of Unity’s Home and Community Based Programs. Jane is a registered nurse, and has a BSN from Roberts Wesleyan College and a master’s degree in public administration from SUNY Brockport. Jane lives in Spencerport.

Sue Vogl has been appointed vice president of Orthopaedics and Neurosciences. Sue began her career with Unity in 1989 as a case manager for the Acute Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Program. She previously served as senior director, Unity Neurosciences. In her new role, Sue will oversee program and business development as well as operations for both service lines. Sue has a master’s degree in public health from SUNY Brockport. Sue lives in Chili.
