Let's Talk Health: Latest Research and Treatment of Migraines
Approximately 23 million Americans will experience a migraine at some point in their lives. These are chronic headaches that can cause significant pain for hours or even days, and can be severe and debilitating.
A type of migraine headache recently captured the nation’s attention during a live report following the Grammy Awards last month(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0nPCrm2KBE). Los Angeles TV reporter Serene Branson began speaking what appeared to be gibberish. It was initially thought to be a stroke, but later determined she had suffered a complex migraine, which typically includes three categories of symptoms: visual, language and sensory.
