Celebrating Seniors: Homecoming Week at The Villages at Unity

 The Villages at Unity is pleased to be participating in American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) Homecoming Week (May 26-30, 2008.)  During the weeklong celebration, a series of free events, that are open to the public, will be held to honor residents of The Villages at Unity and seniors in the community at large:


  • Tuesday, May 27, 10:30 A.M.:  YMCA demonstration of Zumba Chair Dancing
  • Tuesday, May 27, 2:00 P.M.:  Reception with Democrat & Chronicle’s Bob Marcott
  • Wednesday, May 28, 1:30 P.M.:  Spring Fling with music by Gateswingers
  • Thursday, May 29, 2:00 P.M.:  Lecture by Margaret Thirtle, former vice president of Sibley’s Department Stores.
  • Friday, May 30, 2:00 P.M.: Talbots Spring and Summer fashion show


As members of AAHSA, Unity Health System’s Center for Aging & Continuing Care facilities support programs and activities organized by AAHSA.  Homecoming Week is designed to celebrate people who live in senior communities, and to allow those in neighboring communities to participate in organized activities.


The Villages at Unity is a senior housing community for adults 62 and older.  Located on the Unity Park Ridge Campus in Greece, The Villages at Unity offers independent and enriched living options for seniors.  For more information or to register for these events, call The Villages at Unity at 723-7442.
