Medical Director of Joint Replacement Center Appointed
Unity Hospital is pleased to announce that Michael Klotz, M.D. has been appointed medical director of its Joint Replacement Center.
Dr. Klotz has worked as an orthopaedic surgeon in the Rochester area for over 11 years, and is a practicing partner at Red Creek Orthopaedics. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Klotz was elected a fellow of the Academy in 1999, and elected a fellow of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons in 2005. He is a clinical instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry.
After receiving his medical degree from Columbia University, Dr. Klotz completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester’s General Surgery Program, followed by a residency at the University of Rochester in Orthopaedic Surgery, and a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Klotz lives in Pittsford with his wife, Lynn Ellen, and their two sons.
