Thank you for your post inquiring about a nutritionist. Many people with diabetes find it helpful to meet with a registered dietitian (RD) and/or a certified diabetes educator (CDE) to learn more about meal planning to promote blood sugars within target range, weight management and heart/kidney health. This often involves following a carbohydrate managed meal plan. Unity Diabetes & Endocrinology Services provides diabetes and nutrition education. Call 368-4560 to schedule an appt. You could also ask your doctor for a referral to a CDE or RD in your locality. If you have further questions please respond to this post!
