Hi anonymous,
That's true it is very important to include carbohydrates at all of your meals; in fact it is best to follow a carbohydrate managed meal plan that includes a balance of carbohydrate and protein foods with lots of nonstarchy vegetables. We typically recommend the plate method approach which recommends 1/4 plate be carbohydrates (starchy and sweet foods like potatos, rice, pasta, bread, fruit, milk, yogurt), 1/4 of your plate be lean protein (ie: chicken, meat, fish, eggs, peanut butter), and 1/2 plate be nonstarchy vegetables. It is also important to avoid sugar sweetened beverages and excessive snacking between meals!
