You can get lab work done at any local lab, you should be able to find one that is more convenient and have your draws a few days in advance. A lab that is associated with your doctor may be able to get results back faster; if your doctor is a Unity doctor, one of ACM's sites would probably be faster, ditto for a URMC or RGH doctor and their labs.

Be aware that A1C takes a couple of days to process. It's best to get to a lab a few days ahead of your appointment.

Hi littlered,
There is an ACM lab located at Unity at Ridgeway building, however it may be cutting it a little close to get labs back same day. I don't think you can be assured the labs will be available to the doctor that quickly! See the link below for ACM labs to see if there is a convenient location to you: http://www.acmlab.com/patient-resources/service-centers.aspx
