There are no changes in coverage for the majority of your benefits, including dental, vision, life insurance, disability and the legal services plan. Further, your cost for these benefits will remain the same as in 2013.
Unity Health Plan Highlights
· Unity health insurance increased between 4.8 and 5.9% depending on the plan. A fair portion of the increase stemmed from mandated fees associated with the Affordable Care Act.
· Those enrolled in Unity’s health plans, can still take advantage of using Unity services for little or no cost. And, filling prescriptions at Unity’s Pharmacies, can save 50 – 67% on the cost of your Rx co-pays.
Out-of-pocket costs for services obtained outside Unity Health System, including primary care and specialist visits, urgent/emergency care and hospitalization increase.
· Both health plans have an out-of-pocket maximum, which means the amount you’ll have to spend overall on health services will be limited. The out-of-pocket maximum includes any deductible or coinsurance payments, as well as co-pays. Once you reach the out-of-pocket maximum for the year, the plan will cover eligible expenses at 100% for the rest of the calendar year.
